Quantum Computing

We’ve always seen the computer as digital. This means that data can be translated by the computer as 1 and 0. This would be called “digital computing.” Quantum computing, on the other hand, is completely and totally different. It’s very difficult to explain, but it is a sound idea. It also follows a different system. Instead of using bits, it uses qubits. To understand further, the following video shows an animated explanation of what Quantum Computing is.

Also, this infographic from the University of Cambridge can help too if you’re confused:

I’ve always found Quantum Physics to be so interesting. I mean, I’m terrible in Physics, but I love the theories and ideas of it. Plus, these interesting things just stick. The math gets really complicated, but the logic behind it somewhat sticks. It’s frustrating and amazing at the same time.

Khan Academy

Have you ever been in a rut when it comes to homework? Ever found yourself smacking your forehead with your notebook? Have you always wondered the projectile motion equation of your textbook? Look no further!

khan-academy

Khan Academy is a great resource for elementary and high school student. I am not quite familiarized with the system, so I can only assume that it can also be a resource for college and university students.

It never fails to give an answer. The system is great and content is added every week (?). They produce very interesting and informative videos that’s worth taking a look.

I, myself, use the site for learning purposes (where needed), especially at times where I cannot get an answer from my Physics book or when I’m literally so lost that asking a friend won’t help.

Give it a try!

First Week of School

I live in the country formally known as “Dominion of Canada.” We started our first week on September 3, 2013. Alas, my schedule was revealed to me through pain and suffering. After crying all night about the fact that school was about to begin, I was tiresome. Fortunately, our breakfast gave me the boost that I wasn’t expecting.

Physics – Computer Engineering – Writer’s Craft – Advanced Functions

The beauty of it all. For some, this may be an easy semester. Of course, being one who is slightly above average yet doesn’t live up to “crazy genius” standards, I find this semester challenging.

Here’s how the first week came along:

My brain on day one to day three.

Day four until right now.

So, I’m pretty happy that my brain is functioning as it should. One thing to do now is tweak it enough to run full capacity without hurting myself.

I would like to hear about your first week/first day of school! Leave a comment below!

I HAD EXAMS!

After almost two weeks worth of studying Physics and approximately studying World Religions in less than six hours, I finally finished my finals!

In the beginning, the stress was there and so was the anxiety. I felt like a warrior in a battle, waiting for the enemy, studying their every move, finding their weak spot. What did I think? I thought this was MADNESS!

examssTo those that are writing their exams or finished their exams, just remember:

This isn’t my typical post. I just wanted to tell you all that my absence is because of my final exams.

Physics is EVERYWHERE!

As I was surfing the internet, I saw this cool graphic that I found to be very funny and intellectual at the same time.

Angry Birds and Physics:

This goes to show you that Physics is everywhere. Here’s another example:

Arguably, there is some kind of physics in Minecraft.
